Here are some tips to ensure a successful 2015:
Select the best possible time to begin or continue your goals.
All of your goals need not begin on the first of the year. An example is if you are moving to a new home or changing jobs or any other stressful event that you might be experiencing in the beginning of the year --You might want to reconsider starting certain projects during this time. For instance, a new diet may be difficult to maintain if a major part of your life is in a state of change. It might be a good idea to wait until your life stabilizes a bit before starting your diet.
Similar to the tip above - Spacing your goals.
Consider launching or resuming one of your goals in the Spring and then maybe another in the Summer. Prioritize them of course but make sure you give yourself enough time, space, and energy to create a stable foundation for each goal before beginning another.
Also be realistic about the time needed to complete or make progress with your goals. Be honest with yourself; All of your goals will not be completed in 2015. However, some of your goals will be completed in a much shorter time.
Do you have everything you need to complete your goals?
You have assessed the time needed to complete your goals, now make sure you have the resources that you need. Resources include but not limited to space/storage, capital, materials, support, access to knowledge/information, transportation, technology, etc. A brainstorming session can help you create a list of the things you need. Remember, it is not unusual to overlook a few things. Sometimes we don’t know what we need until we are knee deep in a project.
Give yourself room to for mistakes.
If you stumble, if you fall, get back up and continue on. Do not use a misstep as an excuse to abandon your goals. Give yourself permission to slip up but make a promise to yourself right now that you will continue on!
Listen to your intuition.
When in doubt, notice what your gut telling you. Is your body giving you physical signs that indicate a green light, yellow light, or red light? Many times we receive very clear signals about what to do next and when. Don’t discount these messages.
I look forward to hearing about your progress. I’m wishing you a successful and authentic 2015 filled with revelations, discovery and intentions manifested.
Take care.
